Abstract

1,026,190. Stud and slab walls. PENN METAL CO. Inc. Aug. 6, 1964 [Aug. 30, 1963], No. 31998/64. Heading E1y. Tear strips 15 (Fig. 2), or cords or wires 17<SP>1</SP> (Fig. 4), are fixed to elongate metal clips 10 or 10<SP>1</SP> retaining flat slabs 9 against longitudinally slotted metal studs 1, with their lower ends exposed behind the moulding strips (e.g. 16<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 4), to facilitate the removal of the slab The studs and clips may be of electro-galvanized steel or aluminium, the tear strips 15 of paper cloth or plastic building tapes, and the cords 17<SP>1</SP> of fabric or plastics material formed into flexible cylindrical cords. A single tear strip 15 may be used, centrally of the flanges 12 of the clip 13, and two or more cords or wires may be used with each clip.
