740,887. Fusible fabrics; yarns and threads. TRUBENISED (GREAT BRITAIN), Ltd. Nov. 25,1952 [Jan. 1, 1952; May 30, 1952], Nos. 47/52 and 13803/52. Classes 120 (3) and 142 (4). Interlining for fused fabric assemblies contains composite threads having molecularlydisoriented polythene as one component, the other component being a yarn which resists stretching of the whole thread during weaving and thereby prevents re-orientation of the polythene. Examples of the thread are: shrunk monofils of polythene slightly twisted with monofils of cellulose acetate; polythene and cellulose acetate filaments mingled together and slightly twisted, then heated under restraint to disorient the polythene without shrinkage; a cellulose acetate or viscose monofil, or a cotton yarn, coated with polythene. Polystyrene may be used instead of polythene. Specification 591,633 is referred to.
