740,652. Oven doors. STOVES, Ltd., and RICHARDSON, W. Aug. 8, 1953, No. 21949/53. Class 126. [Also in Group XIII] A door for an opening having a forwardly projecting sealing rib round the opening is provided on its inside with a yieldably mounted flexible plate, unflanged over the whole of its periphery or along its upper edge and the major portion of its sides corresponding to the extent of the rib. A flexible plate 7 is yieldably mounted on the inside of an oven door and is urged towards a sealing rib 1 round the opening by springs 8 located by bosses 9 provided on the door pane 3. A flange 10 secured to the frame 3 overlaps the plate 7 to retain it against the springs. At the lower edge of an oven door, the sealing rib and retaining flange are omitted, and a stiffening flange 12 is provided along the edge of the plate 7.
