740,086. Adjusting body height. GRIFFEN, S. R. Dec. 2, 1953 [Sept. 3, 1952], No. 22207/52. Class 108 (2). [Also in Group XXI] The chassis of a trench-excavating machine is supported at the front and rear on wheels 22, 23 positioned in vertical planes disposed laterally outwards of and parallel to the edges of the trench being formed and, if desired, on wheels in similar planes laterally inwards of said edges. The axles of the wheels e.g. 22, 23, are rotatably mounted in arms, e.g. arms 20, 21, pivotally connected to the chassis. Jacks 24, extending between the chassis and the arms, are provided for adjusting the vertical height of the chassis with respect to the surface of the ground.
