[Also in Group XXI] A vehicle of the bulk loader type has a load carrying implement at the end of a boom capable of movement from the front to the rear of the vehicle, the vehicle being balanced by counter-weight having their centres of gravity located in each of the vertical planes through the centres of the front and rear axles respectively. The shovel B is carried on arms L and is rotatable for emptying and loading by a jack A ; the arms L are rotatable by jack J. Counterweights 1 and 5, preferably in the form of hubs, are mounted on the front and rear axles to provide stability for the vehicle whether the shovel is at the front or rear. The tyres may be ballasted with water to provide the counterweights.
