Abstract
816,393. Shovelling apparatus. ALDRIDGE & RANKEN Ltd., and ALDRIDGE, P. J. March 8, 1957 [Dec. 9, 1955], No. 24282/55. Class 68(1) An overthrow shovelling apparatus comprises a structure 5 forming part of a vehicle chassis or securable thereto, a jib 1 pivoted at 4, a shovel arm 8 pivoted at 7 on the jib 1, a bucket 10 pivoted at 19 on the arm 8, an hydraulically extendable telescopic arm 14 pivoted at 11 on the structure 5 and 15 on the arm 8, a jack 17 pivotally mounted on the structure 5 and pivotally connected to a lug 18 on the arm part 13 pivotally connected at 15 to the arm 8 and a jack 20 controlling pivotal movement of the bucket. The telescopic arm and jack 17 control the movement of the jib 1 and shovel arm 2 from a loading position as shown to a dumping position in which the shovel has been carried past the vertical to a dumping position at the other side of the structure 5.
