916,448. Mobile jib cranes. HERMANN, C. Nov. 23, 1960 [Dec. 24, 1959], No. 40259/60. Class 78 (4). The cab 4 of a jib-crane 18 has its front end pivoted to the chassis 1 of a road vehicle at 5 and its rear end, which overhangs the chassis, supported by wheels 8. As described the wheels 8 comprise two independently-sprung pairs, each pair being pivoted to the cab 4. Alternatively a single pair of wheels or hydraulic jacks may be provided. The crane normally operates with the jib at right-angles to the chassis 1 and the cab 4 carries counterweights.
