Abstract

739,335. Forced-How steam boilers. LA MONT INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION, Ltd. Jan. 8, 1954, No. 609/54. Class 123 (2). In a forced-circulation boiler having a furnace chamber 6 lined on the side and rear walls, floor and roof with steam-generating tubes and provided with burners in the front wall and wherein the combustion gases discharge upwardly through a pass locating convectionheated banks 12 and 13 of tubes forming extensions of the lining tubes, the generating tubes all emanate from a single distribution header 3 disposed at the rear (or at the front, Figs. 4 to 6, not shown) of the boiler, the tubes 4 running forwardly to cover the floor 5, then dividing into two equal groups, Fig. 3, one half of the tubes being arranged to cover one side wall at 8 and 10, one half of the rear wall at 9 and one half of the roof at 11 and to continue upwardly to form the bank 12 whilst the other half of the tubes covers the opposite side wall and the remainder of the rear wall and roof and forms the bank 13, all the tubes finally connecting to the steam and water drum 1 from which circulating water is drawn through a downcomer 2 by the circulating pump which supplies it to the distribution header.
