732,371. Mechanical couplings for cable sheathing. BENDIX AVIATION CORPORATION. Aug. 11, 1952 [Sept. 21, 1951], No. 20199/52. Class 38 (1). In a device as described in Specification 722,002 for clamping and sealing a cable 15 where it enters a member such as a conduit 10, the resilient sleeve 24 is surrounded adjacent its end remote from the adapter 20 by a rigid retaining sleeve 27, an internal flange 29 on sleeve 27 entering an annular groove 28 in sleeve 24. The lower edge of sleeve 27 is provided with V-shaped teeth 32 which engage the end of conduit 10 on application of the device-thereto and prevent rotation of the sleeve 24 as nut 11 is tightened. Specification 721,872 also is referred to.
