Abstract

790,428. Mechanical couplings for cable armouring. LIGHT & POWER ACCESSORIES CO., Ltd., and LOTT, F. J. Feb. 17, 1956 [Feb. 18, 1955], No. 4899/55. Class 38 (1). A cable gland comprises a barrel-shaped sleeve 1 inserted under the cable armouring, which is then clamped over the sleeve by the screwing together of two parts 8 and 14 through the intermediary of a ring 17. A gland nut 30 screws into part 14, thus compressing a neoprene washer 35 to make a fluid-tight seal.
