Abstract
An alloy steel, particularly suitable for the production of tubes, screws and other parts of steam power plants, turbine blades and installations for cracking, hydrogenation and the like, has the following composition: Cr 1.0-20.0, B 0.001-0.3, C 0.03-0.2 per cent, Fe the remainder except for normal impurities. The alloy may also contain one or more of W, V, Mo, Si, Zr, Ti, Nb, Ta and Co up to 5 per cent in total, Mn up to 1.5 per cent and/or Ni up to 2.5 per cent.
