[Also in Group XXII] In a cycle frame a joint between a frame tube 12 and a tubular socket 16 on a lug 14 for receiving the end of the tube is rein. forced by a sleeve fitting over the tube to which it is brazed or otherwise secured and abutting at its inner end against the outer end of the socket 16 on the lug to. which it is also brazed or otherwise secured. The sleeve is built up of two pressings 18 of semi-cylindrical cross-section, the edges of the pressings meeting when they are applied to the tube and being brazed together. The outer portion of the sleeve is cut away to form two tongues 19 pierced by openings 20.
