Class 44 [Also in Group X] A joint for connecting a continuous tubular element to the ends of one or more other tubes so that the axes of all the tubes intersect in a single point, comprises two or more elements 1, 4, Fig. 2, provided with curved seats for partially encircling the continuous tube 10 and with expansion wings 2, 3; 5. 6 of T-section for insertion in the other tube or tubes 11, 12, the expansion being effected by means of one or more set screws 7 pressing against the wall of the continuous tube. In Fig. 6 a continuous tube 58 is connected with a single tube 56 by a joint comprising two semicircular parts 52, 52<SP>1</SP> with inter-engaging portions 53, 53<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 7, at one end and provided at the other end with T-shaped extensions 55, 55<SP>1</SP> which together form a crossshaped plug in the tube 56.
