729,347. Perambulator stays ; hinges. TAN SAD, Ltd. Dec. 7, 1953 [Dec. 13, 1952], No. 31626/52. Classes 65(1) and 65(2). In a stretcher bar for folding perambulators comprising a section a pivoted at b<SP>1</SP> to a section b and having an extension a<SP>2</SP> adapted to overlap and abut the latter to limit the opening or aligning movement of the sections, a fingeroperable latch c of U-section straddling section b and pivotally attached thereto at b<SP>2</SP> is actuated by a spring c<SP>1</SP> and has an open nose c3 adapted to engage and secure the extension a2 by automatic co-operation with an arcuate or cam-shaped formation a<SP>3</SP> on the latter. A pin c<SP>4</SP> provided on the latch engages section b to limit forward movement of the latch.
