Abstract

1,175,334. Fastening device for windows. PRODIECO Ltd. 2 May, 1968, No. 20878/68. Heading E2F. An adjustable fastening device for a hinged window has a longitudinal slide arm 1 pivotally connected at one end to the window sash by a bracket 2. The slide arm 1 has a longitudinal slot cut in its innermost side made up of straight line portions which join hole portions. The slot engages a guide pin secured to the window frame 4 so that the slide arm 1 is maintained in restrained longitudinal slidable engagement. At the predetermined hole positions on the slide arm 1 a pivotal downward movement of the slide arm towards the guide pin will releasably lock them together by the wedging action between the edge of the hole portion on 1 and the surface of the truncated cone portion of the pin. The unsupported end of 1 forms a handle 12 which may be engaged by a catch member 13 on the window sash 3 when the window is fully closed.
