772,259. Sliding roofs. WEATHERSHIELDS, Ltd. Aug. 22, 1955 [May 24, 1954], No. 15172/54. Class 108(1). A sliding roof 10 is carried at its forward end by runners engaging guide flanges 12 which are gapped at 26 rearwardly of the normal fully open position of the panel 10 in which the projection 27 on the locking handle 25 engages the transverse member 28. When the handle 25 is removed from the squared boss 30 the panel may be moved sufficiently rearwardly to enable the forward guides to enter the gap 26 and thus be freed from them to allow the panel 10 to be removed.
