812,962. Buckles. HARLEY PATENTS (INTERNATIONAL) Ltd., and HARLEY, F. B. Oct. 18, 1956 [Oct. 24, 1955], No. 30367/55. Class 43 A buckle has a rectangular frame 1 with a cross bar 6 to which one end 3 of a strap is secured the other end 4 passes round a transverse bar 15 in a lever 2 and is gripped between the bar 15 and a transverse stop 7 in the frame the lever sliding in the frame guided over the stop and shelves 11 and between side members 8, the ends of the shelves providing a pivot for the lever which is withdrawable through an aperture 5 in the frame. The shelves 11 extend from the ends of the stop and shelves 12 extend from the ends of the cross bar 6. The lever 2 can be locked in position by rotating a pivoted latch 22 projecting from the stop 7 through a slot in the lever.
