A U-shaped handle has extensions b<SP>3</SP> and is pivotally attached at b<SP>1</SP> to arms a secured to the perambulator frame. A manually releasable catch c is pivoted at c<SP>3</SP> to the extension b<SP>3</SP> and is provided with an inclined surface c<SP>5</SP> and slot c<SP>6</SP> to engage the abutment a<SP>2</SP> to effect automatic locking.
