Abstract
739,641. Vehicle coverings. BINI, G. Feb. 18, 1954 [Sept. 15, 1953], No. 4812/54. Class 108 (1). A vehicle covering comprises cloth lengths 21 mounted on pairs of spring-loaded rollers which are carried by slides 11 adapted to be extended transversely of the vehicle beyond the side walls. The guideways for the slides 11 are mounted on the member 2 which is detachably secured to the roof. In the retracted position the rollers may be covered by a flexible cover 23 or by a roller-mounted cover disposed inside the head 12. Transverse stiffeners 21b and depending side covers may be secured to the cloth lengths. Two cloth lengths may also be secured to a single roller so that one length extends forwardly and one rearwardly when opened out.
