A vertical extension for a vehicle body comprises a flexible panel A hinged at its ends to two rigid panels D, E pivoted at the edges 3, 4 of the roof aperture. The central part of the panel A may be stiffened and flexible portions provided on either side of said stiffened portion. The panel A may also be directly hinged to the roof aperture.
