March 17, 1953 [March 17, 1952], No. 7331/53. Class 64 (1). In a vehicle fluid heater in which the fluid to be heated, e.g. air or water, is passed through two annular ducts 9, 10 which surround a combustion chamber and are separated by a third annular duct 11, through which the exhaust gases from the combustion chamber flow, the part 14 of the combustion chamber, surrounded by the inner annular duct 9, is of smaller diameter than the part 13 of the combustion chamber surrounding the burner 6. A baffle 18 may be provided at the junction between the two parts 13, 14. Longitudinal ribs may be provided on the walls of the annular chambers. Specification 582,381 is referred to.
