727,531. Drawing devices for spinning machines. ZINSER TEXTILMASCHINEN GES. March 13, 1953 [March 15, 1952], No. 6923/53. Class 120 (2). A spring-loaded tensioning device for the aprons of drawing heads in spinning machines comprises a bar or rod over which the apron passes and which is connected at one side only to a casing enclosing the spring. The lower apron 1 of a drawing head may be driven by a roller 6 and pass over a deflector rail 7 and a tensioning rod 2 outwardly urged by a spiral spring 5 having one end anchored in a groove in a shaft 9. Instead of a grooved shaft, a smooth spindle may be used, in which case the terminal coils of the spring are reduced in diameter to clamp the spring on the spindle.
