Abstract
727,363. Optical projection systems. ZEISS IKON AKT.-GES. April 23, 1953 [May 20, 1952], No. 11243/53. Class 97 (1). In a system comprising a lamp 1 with reflector 2 and a condenser comprising lenticulated plates 4, 5, of which each element of the first images the light source at an element of the second which images the element of the first in the plane 6 of the gate, colour filters or diaphragms required to control the colour or intensity of the light beam are either juxtaposed to the plate 5 or placed in its conjugate focus 7 with respect to the projection lens 3. A filter used at 5 need not be of high quality. A filter used at 7 must be of high quality and is preferably of saturated colour, being introduced into part only of the light beam. Diaphragms or filters may be in sections introduced into the beam symmetrically with respect to the axis.
