Abstract

741,246. Optical projection systems. ZEISS 1KONAKT.-GES. April 23, 1953, No. 11242/53. Class 97 (1). In a system comprising a lamp 3 with reflector 4 and a condenser comprising lenticulated plates 1,2 of which each element of the first images the light source at an element of the second which images the element of the first in the plane 5 of the gate, an additional lens is provided between the plate 2 and the gate, either separately or integral with that plate. The lens may be exchanged to suit the picture format and projection lens. A field lens may be juxtaposed to the gate. Filter layers may be provided to increase the transmission of visible light through the condenser and to increase the reflection of infra-red. The reflector 4 may carry a layer to absorb infra-red.
