726,109. Rotary pumps. LONGMATE, Ltd., E. C. March 30, 1953, No. 8658/53. Class 110(2). A gear pump comprises a central chamber housing the gear mechanism and end chambers which carry the sealing means C for the shafts and in which the shafts are journalled. Plates A are disposed between the chambers and are coated with an acid-resistant material. The shafts are reduced in diameter externally of the central chamber and the shaft sealing means are adapted to be urged against the shoulders of the shafts and the plates A.
