786,966. Gear pumps. PLESSEY CO., Ltd. March 5, 1956 [Jan. 17, 1955], No. 1413/55. Class 110 (2). In a pump of the internally-meshing gear type wherein at least one of the side plates 7, 8 is pressure-loaded, the fillet member 17 is axially slidable in one of the said side plates. The fillet member may slide in both side plates as shown or in the side plate 8 only, in which case it is held against the plate 7 by screws, see Fig. 3 (not shown), or by the pressure loading due to the pressure in a chamber 14 and/or the resilient pressure of the gasket 15. Specification 659,600 is referred to.
