Abstract
724,573. Dynamo-electric machines. META SOC. PER AZIONI FABRICA MOTORI ELETTRICI. March 26, 1953 [March 27, 1952], No. 8353/33. Class 35. In an electric motor having an axially movable rotor B and a spring-loaded friction brake 11 disengaged when the motor is switched off, the rotor is drawn away from the braking position due to the magnetic action of the stator A and rotor B and of a stationary laminated core A<SP>1</SP> embraced by the stator winding 10 and a laminated core B<SP>1</SP> which is mounted on the rotor shaft 3 and facing the core A<SP>1</SP>. Owing to the fact that the core B<SP>1</SP> is not wound, there is no damping of the stator flux when the motor is energized and consequently a powerful force is imparted to the rotor to be drawn away from the braking position.
