Abstract

723,084. Two-part couplings. CARR FASTENER CO., Ltd. Oct. 20, 1953 [Dec. 8, 1952], No. 31092/52. Class 38 (1). A plug for concentric cables comprises a sheet-metal tubular pin 3 to which the central conductor 9 of the cable is soldered at 11, and which is held in a metal sleeve 1 by apertured insulating discs 4, 5 abutting a flange 2 on the sleeve and retained between rib 6 and a flared end 7 of the pin 3, a washer 8 being interposed between the discs. A metal housing 14 soldered to the cable sheath 10 connects it to the sleeve 1, and a disc 17 having a metal cover 18 forms a finger grip. An annular groove 20 in the sleeve receives means provided on a corresponding socket member, but the groove may be replaced by an embossment or embossments to co-operate with a groove on the socket.
