Abstract

720,859. Spray-producers &c. LECHLER, P., and LECHLER, K., [trading as LECHLER, P., [Firm of]]. March 30, 1953 [March 31, 1952], No. 8787/53. Class 69 (3). A nozzle secured on or within a jet pipe is reversible so that in one direction of liquid flow therethrough a solid jet is produced, whilst upon reversal a sprayed jet is formed. In Fig. 1 the nozzle 2 on a jet pipe 1 has dispersers 5 which break up the jet to form a spray, and on reversal of the nozzle, Fig. 2, a solid jet issues. In Fig. 3 the nozzle 10 is rotatably mounted in a jet pipe 12, and liquid is fed to one or more pipes 8, 9 via a valve 6. In the position shown one or more spray jets are produced by the dispersers 5, 13 depending on the position of the valve 6, and on reversing the nozzle about its axis solid jets are formed.
