Class 51 (1) A cyclone furnace chamber 2 discharges downwardly into the upper end of a secondary combustion chamber 13 which has side walls inclining inwardly and downwardly to a slag outlet 14. A slag screen 20 separates the secondary chamber 13 from a radiation pass 15. In modifications, two or more cyclone chambers may discharge into a common secondary chamber.
