718,134. Mine roof supports. DIRECTIE VAN DE STAATSMIJNEN IN LIMBURG. March 4, 1952 [March 8, 1951], No. 5646/52. Addition to 711,648. Class 20 (2) A box-section mine roof girder comprises upper and lower flanges 1, 2, Figs. 2, 3 welded to vertical webs 3, 4 which increase in height towards the place at which the girder is adapted to be supported by a pit prop 5. At this place the upper flange 1 is widened to form an upper supporting surface 6 as described in the parent Specification, and is supported by lateral webs 7, 8. At its ends the girder is provided with a hole 9 and pin 10 for connecting successive girders to each other.
