Abstract

538,137. Tunnel oven trucks. WEDGWOOD & SONS, Ltd., J., and WEDGWOOD, C. T. Feb. 20, 1940, No. 3185. [Class 51 (ii)] A superstructure for tunnel oven trucks used in the manufacture of pottery comprises flanged spindles b which engage with holes in the truck and tubular pillars c of refractory material resting on the flanges d. Spindles b may also be inserted in the upper ends of the pillars c to support further pillars c according to the height of superstructure desired. The pillars are connected by cross beams e and stays f which are apertured to receive the spindles. The ends of the beams e may be double stepped and the ends of the stays single stepped.
