683,500. Furnace roofs. LACLEDE-CHRISTY CO. Aug. 11, 1950, No. 20021/50. Classes 51 (i) and 51 (ii). A suspension arch or roof comprises a supporting structure including structural members which support brackets, the brackets having depending portions provided with openings, suspension tiles supported by the brackets by means of bosses disposed in the openings of the brackets-and roof tiles supported by and depending from the suspension tiles. As shown in the Figure, I-beams 24 support brackets 22 carrying suspension tiles 26 having upper bosses 76 which fit into holes in the brackets and lower bosses 78 which engage depressions in roof tiles 28. Filler tiles 32 are supported between the roof tiles. The beam carrying an inclined portion of the arch is provided with clamps 34 which engage shoulders on the brackets 22.
