715,868. Oven doors. JACKSON ELECTRIC STOVE CO., Ltd. July 3, 1953 [Aug. 1, 1952], No. 19552/52. Class 126 A close fit for a cooking oven door is obtained by mounting a length of channelled strip metal on pins traversing holes near the door edges, or in a fixed door frame, bringing the strip into intimate contact with the frame or the door by driving the pins inwards or outwards with the door shut, and cementing the strip in place with refractory material. U-section stainless iron strip g is mounted in a groove in an oven door by pins e traversing holes through the door. The door is held against the abutment face i of the oven and the pins e hammered inwardly to force the strip g into intimate contact with the seating i. The door is then opened and the strip g securred in place by cement k. The outer panel h of the door is fitted after the door seal has been secured.
