[Also in Group XXVI] A strip 1 mounted in a groove surrounding a furnace door to form a seal with a metal ridge 7 on the door frame, is pressed towards the ridge 7 by screws 5 engaging a presser bar 6 of such cross-section that it has a wedge-like action on the strip 1. The presser bar 6 may be round, or have a triangular or trapezoidal cross-section.
