951,536. Window stays. JAMES WHEELDON & SONS Ltd. March 7, 1962 [March 7, 1961], No. 8187/61. Heading E2F. A window stay fastener comprises a strip-like base-plate 1 for attachment to a window frame 3 and one or more upstanding locators such as 4, 5 at each of the longitudinal edges of the plate, at least one locator at one edge being offset longitudinally of the plate relative to a locator on the other edge so that, in use, a stay 6 can be engaged between the locators when the window is in the closed position to prevent opening movement. The locators are preferably integral tongues bent up from the base-plate, but one or all of them may be pegs. At least one locator has a peg-like extension 8 to engage the holes 13 in the stay when the window is open.
