Abstract

952,257. Sliding windows; latches. J. POULAIN. March 1, 1962 [March 3, 1961], No. 7938/62. Headings E1J and E2A. A window comprises a horizontally sliding sash 4 supported on rollers 6 set in a hollow bottom member, which rest on an inverted V-section track 7 having openings 8 and containing a lifting bar 9 with castellations 12 which support the rollers 6 in the openings when the sash is closed. The lifting bar may be operated by an eccentric 10, Fig. 3, forcing it up over ramps 11, or by a lever system, Fig. 6, which combines a fastening arm 14 and a bellcrank lever 16, both operated by a lever 15.
