Class 78 (1) An auxiliary opening 4 is provided in the conveying pipe 3 near the outlet 2 of the feeding device 1 and is controlled by an axially displaceable and rotatable slide valve 5 which has a stepped end 7. The valve may be moved to the right without rotation from the position shown in Fig. 1, to uncover the inlet 4 to any extent and thus allow additional air to enter the pipe. The valve may be rotated to the position shown in Fig. 3, to close the outlet 2, or rotated and then be moved to the right to uncover the outlet to any desired extent.
