Abstract

756,694. Pneumatic conveyers. SCOTTISH MECHANICAL LIGHT INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Jan. 5, 1955 [Jan. 13, 1954], No. 990/54. Class 78 (1). The flow of air is regulated by a pivoted flap 15 and a movable stop member 14 which are so arranged that when the flap is forced by the air into the open position (shown in dotted lines) it retains the stop member in the withdrawn position and when the flap is in position to restrict the flow, the stop member locks it. The stop 14 is carried by a rod 12 having a head 13 at the upper end. The rod is mounted slidably in a sleeve 10 which is screwed into a boss 8 secured to the conduit 7. The position of the sleeve is adjusted by turning it by handles 11.
