Abstract

1,204,016. Regulating fluid-flow. SIEMENS A.G. Sept.27, 1968 [Sept.29, 1967], No.45886/68. Heading G3H. [Also in Divisions B8 and F2] The air blower of a pneumatic conveying system is provided with a flow regulator comprising semi-circular flaps 7, 8 connected by a flexible portion 6 supported by rod 4, and springs 9, 10 which urge the flaps away from seat 2 against the action of the air pressure. A gap 3 between the seat and duct wall 1 provides a minimum flow of air when the flaps are closed against seat 2. The Specification describes the operation of the regulator in detail with reference to Figs.1, 2, 5 and 6 (not shown).
