714,256. Mixing appliances. CHADBURNS (LIVERPOOL), Ltd. May 23, 1952 [May 30, 1951], No. 12669/51. Class 86 A mixing machine comprises a supporting column 10 having a lateral hollow extension 11, driving mechanism including change speed gearing within the extension 11 adjacent the column 10, a skirt 30 depending from the underside of the extension 11 at the end remote from the column, a rotor 25 forming a lower closure for the skirt, shafting 16, 25 coupling the rotor to the driving mechanism, a mixing shaft 26 journalled eccentrically on the rotor 25 a planet gear wheel 28 on the shaft 26 which meshes with a toothed annulus 31 in the lower part of the skirt and a counterweight 32 on the rotor opposite the shaft 26 and housed within the skirt.
