619,237. Toothed gearing. SWIFT, Ltd., B. & P., and BIRCHER F. A. Oct. 10, 1946, No. 30233. [Class 80 (i)] In an angular gear drive, e.g. a worm gear drive, in which the intermeshing gears on shafts 7, 10 are contained in a casing 1 carried by two end plates 3, 4, which carry bearings for the shaft 7, the casing 1 is angularly adjustable in the end plates by screws 2. The casing 1 is formed with an extension 9 carrying bearings 11, 12 for the shaft 10. The end plates. 3, 4 have feet 6, and end plate 3 has feet 14 at right-angles to the others. Two oil level indicators may be provided in the casing 1 in planes at right-angles to each other.
