389,889. Mechanism for reciprocating sieves, conveyers, &c. COONEY, A., 44, McBride Street, Garston, Liverpool. June 29, 1932, No. 28034/31. [Class 117.] Mechanism for imparting reciprocating movements to sieves, conveyers, &c. of the type comprising two unbalanced weights rotating in opposite directions, consists of a hollow pulley 14 carrying one weight 15 and acting as the driving means, and a second weight 21 of equal radius to the first mounted inside the hollow pulley and deriving its opposite rotary movement therefrom through bevel gearing 16, 17, 18, 23. The pulley and weight are mounted on a stationary spindle 12 carried in a bracket 11 secured to the reciprocating machine. The transmission gears 17, 18 are mounted on a cross-arm 19 on the spindle. A stationary gear casing 26 is supplied with lubricant through a passage 25 in one end of the spindle.
