Drawings to Specification. [Classes 80(i) and 80(iii)] A modification of the invention of the parent Specification consists in utilizing the mechanism for eliminating common dead centres for obtaining rectilinear forces from a two crank system driven from a rotating shaft. Another modification consists in adapting the mechanism of the parent Specification to a system of more than two cranks so that the active crank receiving the application of forces moves at a greater speed than the other inactive cranks.
