713,629. Packaging. RADO, L. Nov. 18, 1949, No. 8652/53. Divided out of 713,521. Class 94 (1) A thermoplastic container filled with liquid or paste has a tubular body portion, preferably of elliptical crosssection with its major axis extending from the edge 1a to the edge 1b, :a sealed end wall 4a at right angles to the axis of the tube, and a sealed end wall 5a at an acute-angle to the axis of the tube, whereby the contents may be extruded through the pointed or funnel-shaped end after cutting along the line 1d. The containers are produced in succession from a filled tube by a process similar to that described in Specification 599,174, alternate transverse and inclined seals being produced by pairs of reciprocating sealing tools which apply pressure and heat successively. The transverse and inclined. seals defining the ends of the containers may, alternatively, be produced simultaneously by a single pair of tools each having two sealing surfaces.
