722,969. Closures for collapsible tubes. AKTIEBOLAGET SVENSKA KAPSYLFABRIKEN. Nov. 5, 1952 [Aug. 21, 1952], No. 27815/52. Classes 66, 94 (1), 94 (2) and 125 (3). An automatically sealing collapsible tube for pastes, made of plastic, paper &c., is hermetically sealed at both ends 2, 4 the end 4 being flattened and shaped to form a neck portion converging towards the tube shoulder 3 and encircled by a leaf spring 5 which presses the sides of the tube together. In use the sealed end 4 is cut off along the line 6 and pressure applied to the tube to force open the spring 5 and deliver the contents. When the pressure is released the spring 5 closes the neck. The spring is retained in place by the remaining widened portion of the neck.
