Abstract

470,101. Collapsable tubes &c. CARPMAEL, A. (Dunkle, G. E.) Feb. 5, 1936, No. 3559. [Class 125 (iii)] The delivery orifice 3 of a collapsable tube or other container from which the paste or other contents are extruded by pressure exerted thereon is normally closed by two contacting blocks 5, 6 of resilient material such as sponge rubber, the blocks, which are of semicylindrical form with bevelled faces, being forced apart to permit delivery of a portion of the contents when the pressure is applied. The blocks are preferably formed with a smooth skin on the external surface and may be formed of or coated with fat- or oil-resisting material. Specification 417,793 is referred to.
