Abstract

272,068. Cressall, F. Aug. 10, 1926. Stoppers seated by gravity.-Colllapsable tubes having a nozzle 1, Fig. 3, in which is an elongated discharge orifice, closed by resilient lips 3, and adapted to open when pressure is applied to the tube, may be provided with a cap, which is adapted to slip on to, or slide over, the nozzle, or may be hinged thereto. The cap may be formed from a strip of metal doubled lengthwise, so as to grip and compress the walls of the discharge orifice, and may have a tongue adapted to pass into the orifice and keep it clear. When the nozzle is provided with a reinforcing frame 10, Fig. 11, the cap 13 may be hinged thereto.
