693,888. Paper bags; packaging. MILPRINT, Inc. Feb. 26, 1952 [Oct. 4, 1951]. No. 4979/52. Classes 94(i) and 94(ii). A bag is formed of a thin sheet of flexible material having a heat sealable coating 8 on one side only and folded double with the coating inside, the opposite ends 10 then being sealed, and the mouth edge of the bag is then folded inwardly to provide an open reinforcing lip 12 remaining unsealed upon sealing of the bag mouth and acting as gripping tabs facilitating opening of the bag. The bag, in use, may be opened to rectangular form by a mandrel or expanding form to form a liner for a rectangular carton into which cheese or other commodity is packaged. The sheet material may be regenerated cellulose and the coating a heat sealable wax.
