Abstract
709,647. Loom shedding mechanisms. STAUBLI, R., STAUBLI, H., and STAUBLI, O., [trading as STAUBLI & CO. GEB.]. July 16, 1951 [Oct. 12, 19501. No. 16847/51. Drawings to Specification. Class 142(1) The heald shafts of a loom are so operated that during beating-up the warp threads which are to be transferred from the top shed to the bottom shed or vice versa are positioned in the central or closed shed position, and the warp threads which are to remain,.in the top or bottom shed are moved to an intermediate position between the top and closed shed positions or bottom and closed shed positions respectively. To effect operation of the heald shaft in this fashion they may be operated by a cam, or alternatively the movement of the knives of a dobby may be offset so as to effect the desired result.
